Agriculture
In the heart of Sara Kunda, a vibrant village in the countryside, agriculture is the backbone of life and the local economy. Men focus on groundnut farming, a craft passed down through generations, while women manage rice paddies and gardens, growing crops for sustenance and market sales.
Since 2007, a community-run poultry farm has added income and nutrition, symbolizing growth and modern techniques. The harmonious division of labor between men and women underpins the village’s prosperity, with groundnut farming, rice cultivation, gardening, and poultry farming as its pillars.
In Sara Kunda, every seed, crop, and chicken reflects a way of life deeply rooted in tradition, resilience, and community pride.

Sport
In the heart of the Sabach District, nestled between rolling hills and lush greenery, lay the vibrant village of Sara Kunda. Known for its close-knit community and rich cultural traditions, Sara Kunda had earned a reputation far beyond its scenic landscapes—its formidable football team.
The Sara Kunda Boys, as they were proudly called, had become the pride of the village and a force to be reckoned with in the district’s sporting scene. Football was more than just a pastime here; it was a way of life. From the youngest children kicking makeshift balls in the dusty streets to the elders recounting tales of past glories, the sport unified the village in a way few other things could.
Every year, the Sabach District Football Championship brought together teams from neighbouring villages, each vying for the coveted title. Sara Kunda’s participation was always a highlight of the tournament. Their matches were not just games; they were events that drew crowds from miles around. The team’s signature red and white jerseys symbolised their unity, passion, and unyielding spirit.
The team’s coach, Pabi Colley was a former player whose wisdom and strategies had led the Boys to multiple victories. He often told the players, “When you wear that jersey, you’re not just playing for yourselves. You’re playing for everyone in Sara Kunda, for every child who dreams of standing in your shoes, and for the honor of our village.”
For the people of Sara Kunda, football was more than just a game. It was a testament to their unity, their hard work, and their unwavering pride in their village. The Sara Kunda Boys were heroes, and their legacy would inspire generations to come.
